Neurotoxins or "Toxins" are a group of neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin that are injected into the muscle to decrease muscle contractility. When used appropriately, this in turn can treat moderate to severe frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet. Toxins are temporary and normally wear off in 3-5 months depending on the individual and the strength of Toxin that is used. Toxins are not recommended in individuals younger than 18 years of age.
